What started as a childhood obsession turned into Heidi Horton Photography in 2012 when I started taking portrait bookings, and by 2016 it had grown into the dream job I get to live every day!

I’m married to my best friend, Matt. For nearly a decade, we photographed weddings side by side, celebrating with over a hundred couples (many of whom we now call friends). These days my lens is focused more on portraits & travel - but the heartbeat behind my work hasn’t changed: capturing people and stories in the most joyful, honest way possible.

Recently, Matt and I sold our little dream property we built from scratch (tiny home, big garden, the whole homestead lifestyle!) to chase another dream of ours; full-time travel. You can usually find us on the road somewhere in New Zealand, cameras in hand, laughing our way through whatever adventure comes next.
